First event raises $300 for charity

Post by Pat McGrath Avery:

David held a pre-launch event last night at Paragraphs Bookstore on Padre Blvd in South Padre Island, TX. Proceeds from the event benefitted Walk for Women, an organization formed by Sally Scaman and her friends to benefit breast cancer research.

We're thrilled to announce that $300 has been raised. Thanks for everyone who supported David's event. I know you're going to love his book. I certainly do! #Holocaustsurvivors #concentrationcamps #WWII #NaziGermany #survivorsguilt

Out of the Depths now in print.

The first copies of Out of the Depths arrived! The book is not officially released until fall but you can get a copy now by contacting David (authordavidtannenaum@gmail.com) or Pat Avery at Red Engine Press (patavery@gmail.com).

Dr. Bernard Helgman is plagued by guilt over what he did to survive as a young Jew in Germany during WWII. His inability to forgive himself has thrust him down a path of loneliness and self-loathing. He comes face-to-face with his worst fears when another survivor recognizes him.

The book will be available on Amazon in August.
